DIPRO VridgeR

Full assembly DMDR (Digital Mockup Design Review)

Digital prototyping issue
Actual machine interference failure occurs frequently, and the number of trial manufacture does not decrease.

Benefit
Improve design quality and reduce development time with full assembly DMDR.

Previously, full assembly DMDR with detailed 3D data was not possible, and separate rough data was required for consideration.
VridgeR enables full assembly DMDR with detailed 3D data and greatly reduces the number of physical prototyping failures that occur between units and assemblies.

Changes in the Digital Prototype Process with Full Assembly DMDR
Changes in the Digital Prototype Process with Full Assembly DMDR
Not only is it highly functional, but it also makes each work process more efficient.

In addition to the display performance and high performance interference check, VridgeR can efficiently check design changes and check the interference results that are detected redundantly so that it can follow the design change cycle without overlooking them.
This will improve the overall efficiency of the digital prototyping process and contribute to improved design quality.

Ultrafast Design Change Check (including, recomparing detailed geometry)

VridgeR can use the complete assembly data, old and new, to check for design changes.
It can flexibly respond to part identification standards that vary from company to company, such as part names and attributes, and can detect even slight differences in a short time by high-speed and high-precision shape difference comparison.

Viewing previous comparison result list

You can use the previous comparison results list to see only where you need the interference check results.
The interference check results that are repeated every design change cycle can be prevented from being excessively duplicated, and the interference check that follows the design change can be performed.

Electrical and Precision Equipment Manufacturers

CAD was barely able to display the full assembly data of a product (Even with a 64 bit PC). Naturally, the interference check was limited to the unit level.
With the full assembly DMDR by VridgeR, we were able to eliminate assembly defects before mass production and significantly reduce rework and rework man-hours.
We are also introducing this system to other business sites where the cost effectiveness is high and assembly is large.

The design change comparison feature can be compared in an assembly configuration to detect data that has just been repositioned.
Also, it is not overlooked that the bolt placement has changed due to the hole location change. In the design change comparison, not only the part name but also the attribute information can be used as a comparison condition,so it can be compared properly by the company's own rules.

The products are made to order, so there are about 100 different models.
In conventional CAD systems, the results of interference checks at the digital prototype stage could not be verified in time, and assembly failures occurred frequently in actual machines, resulting in increased mold modification costs and man-hours.
A full assembly DMDR in VridgeR yielded several 1 billion cost benefits in about six months.

The design change comparison results can be listed in CSV and saved in a VridgeR file so that the 3D design change notice can be shared among stakeholders. It is much easier to understand than the instruction of design change by the conventional drawing.
