"DIPRO Xphere" is a Virtual Reality system that connects to a VR head-mounted display to assist manufacturers in evaluating the workability of product assembly and maintenance.
At the manufacturing site, assembly and maintenance of the product may cause problems such as inability to carry assembly parts, unreasonable working posture, inability of workers' hands and tools to enter the product, and inability to see tightening points.
Because human workability, such as assembly and maintenance, was studied during the physical prototype phase, much time and money was spent on design changes and prototype modifications to solve the problem.
"DIPRO Xphere" examines the workability related to human in VR space, and by experiencing it with the same feeling as the real machine, it realizes early establishment of product quality, shortening of development lead time and cost reduction.

It is said that the number of parts of a product is 100,000 for cars and 1 million for airplanes. "DIPRO Xphere" uses DVX technology(*Note 1) to achieve high-speed, stress-free, high-response display even for the full assembly data of a single automobile. This makes it possible to smoothly follow the movements of the operator's body and perform verification that is closer to reality and free from VR sickness.
* Note 1:
DVX technology: DVX technology (Patented in Japan and overseas) developed by DIPRO provides unrivaled performance by other 3D tools and can handle more than 1 million parts of product data with 1/20 less memory size than CAD.
It also saves memory, maintains high accuracy, and accurately represents CAD-defined geometry.
* 2024/7/1 As of now, the term of the patent has expired.
Our proprietary CAD data conversion technology allows you to import data in a variety of formats directly into VR space. This eliminates the need to create and then import intermediate data, allowing for timely VR verification, as well as reading design intent such as assembly components and part attributes for further consideration.

The existing 3D validation tools were not able to pre-detect problems in the actual assembly site, such as "The mounting point cannot be seen due to the shadow of the assembled parts.".
With "DIPRO Xphere", you can move parts in VR space without any special setting. In addition, parts can be moved in the actual assembly order and assembly unit from assembly configuration and operation information, and verification can be performed in a position close to actual work, so that problems can be detected before assembly.
In a factory that manufactures products, there is assembly of products based on assembly order, design of production facilities, and movement of production lines and people. We also develop and sell packaged software that supports these operations. Our goal is to incorporate information such as shape data, assembly order and other attributes, as well as verification results, output from these package software on the "DIPRO Xphere", reproduce it in VR space, verify it from an ergonomic point of view, and feed back the verification results to each package.
