Recently, because
of increasing demands for enhancement of safety and
quality, simulation for more complicated phenomenon
on a larger-scale has been required.
LS-DYNA, a program that analyzes
large deformation behavior of structures by using a
time stamp history of explicit scheme, has advantages
in the fields such as crush/shock analysis, falling
shock analysis, plastic forming analysis, penetration/crack/fracture
analysis. In those fields, LS-DYNA is
a highly reliable program with several proven introduction
in the world. LS-DYNA is combined with
the functionalities in implicit scheme of LS-NIKE3D
that has been provided as another program so that it
enables analysis processing at a time, making the most
of the two advantages like molding analysis and spring
back analysis of plastic working.
LS-DYNA has best-in-class functionalities
and high performance for wide range of platforms from
personal computers, workstations to supercomputers,
and is widely used to support security and high quality
for customer's products in numerous industries such
as automotive, machinery, electronics/Precision instrument,
heavy equipment, construction. |

 |
 |
| LS-DYNA supports complicated
simulations and large models. |
 |
 |
- Calculation of non-linear physical phenomenon
in a short time duration such as large deformations,
elastic-plastic and dynamic contact that other non-linear
dynamics programs are not able to manage.
- Adoption of explicit solver for time stamp history
allows to support complicated phenomenons such as
crush, drop, plastic working, penetration/crack/fracture
for which the implicit solver does not offer sufficient
capabilities.
- A wide range of simulations and analysis, providing
2D/3D explicit scheme and 3D implicit scheme.
|
 |
| LS-DYNA offers top-level rich
functionalities. |
 |
 |
- Large coverage of metal/non-metal models over
130, fully automatic definition of contact areas,
H-adaptive for a 3D model and R-adaptive for a 2D
model, and fluid/thermal/sound interaction code.
- A pioneer of impact analysis, Dr. Hllquist's newest
study results are leveraged.
